In preparation for my final graduation project, I collaborated with Anton Schins to design several objects, utilizing materials from old objects and aiming to create them quickly. Our goals were to emphasize aesthetics and promote the reuse of materials.

From the first day, we worked in the workshop, where we created our ‘Winkelstoel’. We creatively transformed a shopping cart into a comfortable chair, highlighting recognizable elements while prioritizing aesthetics. Our focus on design was aimed at making it more appealing and accessible to designers, as well as promoting sustainable design practices.

Over the course of two weeks, we created a series of products that complement each other, creating a cohesive living room feel. The chair, lamp, and side table differed in appearance but shared a key similarity in their reuse of materials. Our design choices aimed to bring attention to the possibilities of repurposing and the importance of sustainability in design.

Through this project, we aimed to showcase our design skills while promoting eco-friendly practices. We wanted to create not only functional but also visually appealing products that could inspire others to consider sustainable design options in their own work. Ultimately, our work reflects our commitment to creating meaningful and innovative design solutions that have a positive impact on both the environment and people's lives.
